The danger of plastic pollution

 Plastic is a major detriment to the beauty of the environment and is also dangerous plants and soil.

It is a waste that does not react with soil and destroys the beauty of the environment and poses a serious threat to marine and terrestrial life.

Plastic is something we usually use every day but it is a big risk for our life and planet.

They are man made materials which can be produced from natural ingredients such as coal and oil, it can be colored or clear, thick or thin, strong or weak.  This means a lot of different things can be made from it.

      Effect animals

Plastic blocks animal digestive system tract which could affect the over all wellbeing of those animals and their production later on.

     Effect oceans

Plastics have a blowing influence on the life under the waters. It effects the lives of marine species whether animals or plants. In addition, plastic bags make their way to the beaches, parks, streets, and waterways which destroy the natural beauty of the environment.

     Effect Lands

Threat to the plants and animals including human  who are based on the land. Plastics also  destroy the natural beauty of the environment through wastes.

   Effect on environments

 Plastic has a lot of impact on the environment especially in cities because there are many people who are using *single use plastic * so the cities are the most prone to environmental plastic pollutions.

   The solution

* Participate in awareness and action to clean up plastic waste disposal

* To raise awareness of this dange

* To create recyled industries

* Reduce single plastic use

 *to support environmental and climate advocacy organizations

Somaliland Climate Action Initiative

 Somaliland Climate Action Initiative in partnership with Somali green peace association have held seventh day training on Nature based solutions in the University of Hargeisa. Objective of the training The objective of the training was to 1. Train 20 students on how climate change is impacting and how nature based solutions could be used as effective tools for handling this. 2. Provide nature based solutions to prevent desertification in by planting the right trees at the right places in the right time. 3. Students and youth to join forces in addressing the environmental and climatic shocks in Somaliland. 4. To plant trees at the end of the training to show practical ways of doing nature based activities. Outcomes 1. 20 students were trained in doing nature based solutions 2. The University has encouraged more such training to be provided to the students. 3. More young students from fuculty environment of university of hargeisa have joined our initiatives. 4.
